Buying one of our steel buildings for sale means you’ll have easy access to stored items, and our prefab metal building kits can be used to hold many things. Some of our customers use them to store cars and ATVs, while others purchase them to house gardening tools, lawnmowers, bicycles, or sports equipment. Some people transform their storage building into a workshop where they can take on DIY projects. Alternatively, they may use it to tackle household repairs such as fixing a wobbly chair or a broken toaster. Our buildings can serve as a machine shop, horse barn, carport, garage, boat/RV cover, and more! And since they are easy to assemble from our steel building kits, getting them in place is a snap. We can even set it up for you for free.
A motorhome carport can be turned into a garage easily by just adding walls and doors to the structure. Many of our customers who purchase an RV cover online prefer adding side panels to cover one side of the carport for protection from harsh elements. While an awning from the sides doesn’t fully enclose the carport like a metal garage, it does provide the space needed for maneuvering your RV.

If you’re not looking for a fully enclosed portable metal garage, then a metal carport may be the way to go. Metal carports may be left open or partially enclosed, and they are usually very basic in structure, so they’re usually less expensive than metal garages. Triple carports, metal barn lean-to buildings, and 40-foot steel garages are also available options.

These drawings show that the garage is rated for up to 140-mph winds and a 30-psf snow load. The certified package is available at an additional cost depending on the size. Modular: A modular building is a structure where the materials are designed and fabricated offsite and then transported to the project location where each part is assembled. Many businesses may choose this method as it allows a larger building to be built more quickly than a traditional building given the parts have already been cut and designed to the proper specs. For the same reasons, it is also an efficient way to build a home.

When you order one of our metal RV covers, you get a choice of three roof styles: regular, boxed eave, and vertical. There is an advantage to choosing a vertical roof for your RV: Metal carports with this type of roof don’t experience snow buildup. Because of the roof’s vertical sheeting, the snow slides off the side before it can accumulate. The regular and boxed-eave styles have sheeting that runs horizontally across the length of the building.

There are three types of RV carports – regular roof, a-frame roof, and vertical roof. We provide you with the choice of roof style and wall panel style, all depending on your personal preferences. You are also given the options of a roof-only carport, a carport with panels or a fully-enclosed garage. Your customization options range from the regular style roof (good) to boxed-eave style roof (better) to vertical style (best) that doesn’t allow anything to settle on your paneling. Our RV carports can be built starting at 12′ wide going up to 60’ wide; however, you need to keep in mind that your RV carport cannot be built taller than the width.

We usually start our 3 car garages out at 20’ wide and can go up to 30’ wide or more; however, the width will depend on the style of your vehicle and if you wish to have a side-entry. By parking along the length of the building you are saving money by not exceeding 30’ in width.  Remember 32’ and beyond in width will bump you into our commercial clear-span garages. Yes, we have a wide variety of sizes available for both our steel and metal garages. They can be 12 feet, 18 feet, 20 feet, 22 feet, or 24 feet wide. The triple-steel garages are built in 26-foot, 28-foot, and 30-foot widths. We also have 40-foot-wide models, available in lengths of 32 feet, 34 feet, 36 feet, 38 feet, and 40 feet. The lean-to model comes in 36 feet, 42 feet, 44 feet, 46 feet, and 48 feet. It has 12 feet on both sides of the building. The lengths start at 21 feet and get longer in 5-foot increments: 26 feet, 31 feet, 36 feet, 41 feet, 46 feet, 51 feet, 56 feet, 61 feet, 66 feet, 71 feet, 76 feet, 81 feet, 86 feet, 91 feet, 96 feet, and 101 feet. To make them longer than 41 feet, we attach two of our steel garages end to end; they can be built longer than 101 feet. We recommend the vertical roof for any garage built 41 feet or longer.
The regular-style roof is rounded on the sides with a barn-like shape. This is the most economical option for a metal building roof. The leg height on the regular garage packages is 8 feet, but at the top of the bend on the leg, it is 1 foot taller. This gives you 9-foot legs with a 9x8 garage door. The boxed-eave and vertical metal building packages come standard with 9-foot legs fully enclosed with a 9x8 garage door. The metal buildings for sale that have a boxed-eave roof have an A-frame gable roof with a 6-inch overhang on both sides. The vertical style is also built with an A-frame roof and has a 6-inch overhang on both sides. All of our steel buildings for sale have a 6-inch overhang on the front and back ends. The sheeting on a vertical-style roof runs up and down, allowing the snow to slide off of the building so you won’t have to rake the roof. Also, there’s bracing attached under a vertical roof to secure the sheeting. This adds strength to the structure of a vertical garage. When you look at the boxed-eave and regular roofs, you’ll notice that the sheeting runs horizontally over the length of the roof.
