On the Boxed Eave Style Metal RV Cover, (A-Frame Type), the RV Cover comes with the Standard Horizontal Roof. The Roof Panels run parallel to the side of the Structure. Water will drain to the front or the back of the Structure. On this style you have the option of having the roof panels installed vertically for an additional charge. We recommend the Vertical Roof Style for the small difference in price versus the Horizontal Roof Style.
The certified package is available if you live in an area where you must present blueprint drawings of your steel garage to the local building department. These drawings show that the garage is rated for up to 140-mph winds and a 30-psf snow load. The certified package is available at an additional cost depending on the size. Certified metal garages are built fully braced and include mobile home anchors if they are going to be anchored to the ground.

There are three types of RV carports – regular roof, a-frame roof, and vertical roof. We provide you with the choice of roof style and wall panel style, all depending on your personal preferences. You are also given the options of a roof-only carport, a carport with panels or a fully-enclosed garage. Your customization options range from the regular style roof (good) to boxed-eave style roof (better) to vertical style (best) that doesn’t allow anything to settle on your paneling. Our RV carports can be built starting at 12′ wide going up to 60’ wide; however, you need to keep in mind that your RV carport cannot be built taller than the width.

All of our cheap steel buildings include free delivery for greater savings, and we’ll also build the structure on your property for free. Your new building will require a level surface for its foundation, though: A level gravel base or a concrete pad is recommended for all buildings we sell at Alan’s Factory Outlet. Placing your modular structure on this type of foundation gives it an extra element of sturdiness. Our prefabricated metal buildings for sale can fit a large number of existing foundations, and if you have any questions about whether your existing site will work for a new metal building, just give us a call and we’ll help you figure out the details.
Working with General Steel is a collaborative process that ensures that your final product reflects your specific needs. The process starts with a two-way conversation between you and our experienced team. We want to know exactly how you will be using your garage, how it will fit on your property, and your ideas for interior and exterior design, among other factors. We then research the location of the garage to ensure that it’s equipped to withstand the wind and snow loads of your area as well as any insulation requirements.
The regular-style roof is rounded on the sides with a barn-like shape. This is the most economical option for a metal building roof. The leg height on the regular garage packages is 8 feet, but at the top of the bend on the leg, it is 1 foot taller. This gives you 9-foot legs with a 9x8 garage door. The boxed-eave and vertical metal building packages come standard with 9-foot legs fully enclosed with a 9x8 garage door. The metal buildings for sale that have a boxed-eave roof have an A-frame gable roof with a 6-inch overhang on both sides. The vertical style is also built with an A-frame roof and has a 6-inch overhang on both sides. All of our steel buildings for sale have a 6-inch overhang on the front and back ends. The sheeting on a vertical-style roof runs up and down, allowing the snow to slide off of the building so you won’t have to rake the roof. Also, there’s bracing attached under a vertical roof to secure the sheeting. This adds strength to the structure of a vertical garage. When you look at the boxed-eave and regular roofs, you’ll notice that the sheeting runs horizontally over the length of the roof.
