This wood hardness list ranks 75 types of wood by their Janka rating. Explore our wood density chart to see which hardwood is the best for your next project! The Janka hardness scale measures the force that’s required to embed a steel ball halfway through a sample of wood. The ball is 0.444 inches in diameter and fired with increasing force. The pounds of force (or newtons if you’re using the metric system) needed to push the ball to the center is the Janka value you end up with. It’s a great way to measure how resistant a piece of wood is to denting and wear. Our Janka wood hardness chart shows how durable certain wood types are.
One of the most popular forms of travel used today is taking an RV cross-country! Travelling in an RV is an experience that not many people get to experience, and if you have, one that you don’t want to miss! In the 60’s and 70’s, vans were the way for a family or group of friends to travel in style and comfort; since then, RV manufacturers have built vehicles with more power, efficiency, and of course, comfort. An RV provides the comforts of home in a versatile vehicle that can be taken just about anywhere. There are plenty of parks and campgrounds across the U.S. to choose from, along with those in other countries if you’re ready for an adventure!

Buying one of our steel buildings for sale means you’ll have easy access to stored items, and our prefab metal building kits can be used to hold many things. Some of our customers use them to store cars and ATVs, while others purchase them to house gardening tools, lawnmowers, bicycles, or sports equipment. Some people transform their storage building into a workshop where they can take on DIY projects. Alternatively, they may use it to tackle household repairs such as fixing a wobbly chair or a broken toaster. Our buildings can serve as a machine shop, horse barn, carport, garage, boat/RV cover, and more! And since they are easy to assemble from our steel building kits, getting them in place is a snap. We can even set it up for you for free.
Why do our customers need motorhome covers? Metal RV covers prevent the snow, rain, and hail from causing rust and otherwise damaging your RV. Metal carports are stronger and offer more protection than a cloth tarpaulin: Cloth can cave in and tear, leaving your RV vulnerable to the elements. And you don’t even need to own an RV to benefit from camper covers: For RV owners, they offer protection for a costly vehicle, but if you’re not an RV owner, a portable RV carport can also serve as year-round shelter for your car, truck, motorcycle, or ATV. And once your carport is set up, it requires no additional maintenance.

In Virginia and West Virginia, you also have the option of wood and vinyl garage buildings for sale. These prefab, Amish-built garages are delivered fully assembled and are available as two-car garages as well as two-story structures. One way our building system significantly reduces project costs is by decreasing construction timelines. In fact, our buildings can save you up to 50% compared to the cost of traditional construction. We deliver these savings by prefabricating the building which means that all of the welding is done at the factory prior to delivery and all of your framed openings for windows, doors and even skylights are pre-punched before arriving at your job site.
