A motorhome carport can be turned into a garage easily by just adding walls and doors to the structure. Many of our customers who purchase an RV cover online prefer adding side panels to cover one side of the carport for protection from harsh elements. While an awning from the sides doesn’t fully enclose the carport like a metal garage, it does provide the space needed for maneuvering your RV.
One way our building system significantly reduces project costs is by decreasing construction timelines. In fact, our buildings can save you up to 50% compared to the cost of traditional construction. We deliver these savings by prefabricating the building which means that all of the welding is done at the factory prior to delivery and all of your framed openings for windows, doors and even skylights are pre-punched before arriving at your job site.

A fabric or vinyl tarp is better than nothing, but it’s still not an effective cover for your RV.  It’s awkward and cumbersome to put on and take off, and it still leaves your RV exposed to the elements. And have you ever tried to remove a tarp that is covered with 6 inches of snow and ice?  Not fun, and not easy.  A better place to store your RV is under a covered metal carport (RV carport) with a solid surface. Better still, keep your RV both safe and secure inside a fully-enclosed metal garage!
Regular roof RV covers are strong and robust. They have the roof panels lined up horizontally running through the length of the building. The A-frame RV carports are stronger and have a more traditional boxed eave. The Vertical style RV carports are the strongest and have the panels running from top to down on the carport letting the snow, dirt, and debris fall off to the ground. The Vertical style RV covers have a 20-year rust through warranty on the roof panels while the horizontal roofs on boxed eave and the regular style motorhome carports only have the warranty for buildings 36 feet long or less.
The metal storage buildings we sell are available in many different sizes and designs. We recommend taking measurements of the area where you plan to put your metal building to start off. If you’re not sure which size would be best for your space, call us: We’d be glad to help you find a steel storage building that suits the dimensions of your property from our large selection of metal building kits. Other things to think about when you are browsing our selection of steel buildings for sale include the size of your garage door and options like walk-in doors, windows, extra braces, 12-gauge tubing, and taller sides. You can choose a color for your metal building from a wide range of options, including cream, brown, green, blue, gray, and black. Our color chart shows the complete list of choices.

We can build any custom size in between these sizes. Any custom size is priced the same as the next size up. I.e. a 14' 0" wide is priced the same as a 18' wide, a 34' long would be priced the same as a 36' long, etc..

Delivery of these structures usually occurs within 60 days of the order being received by the factory, and it’s often a lot sooner than that. If your carport or metal garage delivery takes more than 90 days, we offer a 10% discount on the balance due upon request. (However, installations/deliveries in DC, IN, MD, NJ, NY, OH, PA, and WV are likely to be delayed in the winter months, so we do not offer the 90-day guarantee in these areas from Oct. 1 through spring.)
Look at the top of a regular-roof garage and you’ll see a barn-shaped roof with rounded sides. It is the most economical type of metal garage. The leg height on regular garage packages is 8 feet, but at the top of the bend on the leg, you have an additional foot, giving you 9-foot legs with a 9-by-8 garage door. The boxed-eave and vertical-roof metal garage packages come standard with 9-foot legs fully enclosed with a 9-by-8 garage door. The boxed-eave style has an A-frame gable roof with a 6-inch overhang on both sides. The vertical style is also built with an A-frame roof and has a 6-inch overhang on both sides. All of the steel structures have a 6-inch overhang on the front and back ends. There is one main difference between the vertical- and the boxed-eave-style roofs. On the vertical-style, the roof sheeting runs up and down, allowing snow to slide off the side of the garage structure. On the boxed-eave as well as the regular roof style, the metal sheeting runs lengthwise. Also, the bracing on the vertical sheeting is attached under the roof, which brings an extra element of strength to a vertical-roof garage.
The estimated delivery time frames are not guaranteed, but approximately 90% of the time, delivery occurs within 60 days of us receiving the order at the factory. Please keep in mind that harsh winter weather conditions can make it difficult to complete an installation, so if you live in an area that experiences a lot of snow and ice, there is an increased chance that the wait time could exceed 90 days.
