Regular roof RV covers are strong and robust. They have the roof panels lined up horizontally running through the length of the building. The A-frame RV carports are stronger and have a more traditional boxed eave. The Vertical style RV carports are the strongest and have the panels running from top to down on the carport letting the snow, dirt, and debris fall off to the ground. The Vertical style RV covers have a 20-year rust through warranty on the roof panels while the horizontal roofs on boxed eave and the regular style motorhome carports only have the warranty for buildings 36 feet long or less.
We usually start our 3 car garages out at 20’ wide and can go up to 30’ wide or more; however, the width will depend on the style of your vehicle and if you wish to have a side-entry. By parking along the length of the building you are saving money by not exceeding 30’ in width.  Remember 32’ and beyond in width will bump you into our commercial clear-span garages. You love the open road, traveling, exploring new places, and you do it all in your second home, your RV. After the adventure has come to an end, what do you do with your second home? Many people pay extravagant fees to store their motor coach at a storage facility far from their homes, making it inconvenient to visit, work on, or enjoy on a whim. The sentiment is understandable; I paid a lot for my RV, I want to keep it safe from the elements. But what if you could keep your RV close to home while also keeping it sheltered and protected? That’s where Elephant Structures comes in. For those weeks and months spent at home, our RV, 5th wheel and motor coach cover will serve as a safeguard for your home away from home, providing the protection you would expect from a storage facility with the convenience and luxury of proximity to your home!
Yes, we have a wide variety of sizes available for both our steel and metal garages. They can be 12 feet, 18 feet, 20 feet, 22 feet, or 24 feet wide. The triple-steel garages are built in 26-foot, 28-foot, and 30-foot widths. We also have 40-foot-wide models, available in lengths of 32 feet, 34 feet, 36 feet, 38 feet, and 40 feet. The lean-to model comes in 36 feet, 42 feet, 44 feet, 46 feet, and 48 feet. It has 12 feet on both sides of the building. The lengths start at 21 feet and get longer in 5-foot increments: 26 feet, 31 feet, 36 feet, 41 feet, 46 feet, 51 feet, 56 feet, 61 feet, 66 feet, 71 feet, 76 feet, 81 feet, 86 feet, 91 feet, 96 feet, and 101 feet. To make them longer than 41 feet, we attach two of our steel garages end to end; they can be built longer than 101 feet. We recommend the vertical roof for any garage built 41 feet or longer.

Yes. We can make residential metal buildings in a custom size, but we charge the customer the price of the next larger standard size of metal buildings for sale. For example, let’s say you need a 17-foot-wide building and the standard widths are either 12 or 18 feet. We would charge you for an 18-foot-wide building in this case. This same rule applies to length. If you need the length to be 24 feet and the 26-foot-long model is too long, we can make the base 24 feet long, but it will be priced at 26 feet long. As you determine the size you want for your custom metal buildings, please remember that when we say 26 feet long, that includes a 6-inch overhang on the front and back ends, so the exact base is 25 feet long.
A fabric or vinyl tarp is better than nothing, but it’s still not an effective cover for your RV.  It’s awkward and cumbersome to put on and take off, and it still leaves your RV exposed to the elements. And have you ever tried to remove a tarp that is covered with 6 inches of snow and ice?  Not fun, and not easy.  A better place to store your RV is under a covered metal carport (RV carport) with a solid surface. Better still, keep your RV both safe and secure inside a fully-enclosed metal garage!

This wood hardness list ranks 75 types of wood by their Janka rating. Explore our wood density chart to see which hardwood is the best for your next project! The Janka hardness scale measures the force that’s required to embed a steel ball halfway through a sample of wood. The ball is 0.444 inches in diameter and fired with increasing force. The pounds of force (or newtons if you’re using the metric system) needed to push the ball to the center is the Janka value you end up with. It’s a great way to measure how resistant a piece of wood is to denting and wear. Our Janka wood hardness chart shows how durable certain wood types are.

The estimated delivery time frames are not guaranteed, but approximately 90% of the time, delivery occurs within 60 days of us receiving the order at the factory. Please keep in mind that harsh winter weather conditions can make it difficult to complete an installation, so if you live in an area that experiences a lot of snow and ice, there is an increased chance that the wait time could exceed 90 days.
There are three roof styles we have for customers to choose from; regular, boxed-eave, and vertical. The regular roof style garage is A-shaped and has curved ends, its sheeting running lengthwise. The boxed-eave roof garage has sheeting that also runs lengthwise, but its V-shape is flat all the way down. The vertical roof garage is shaped the same way as the boxed-eave, but as the name implies, its sheeting runs vertically.
The certified package is available if you live in an area where you must present blueprint drawings of your steel garage to the local building department. These drawings show that the garage is rated for up to 140-mph winds and a 30-psf snow load. The certified package is available at an additional cost depending on the size. Certified metal garages are built fully braced and include mobile home anchors if they are going to be anchored to the ground.
One way our building system significantly reduces project costs is by decreasing construction timelines. In fact, our buildings can save you up to 50% compared to the cost of traditional construction. We deliver these savings by prefabricating the building which means that all of the welding is done at the factory prior to delivery and all of your framed openings for windows, doors and even skylights are pre-punched before arriving at your job site.
