Our metal garages have passed the most rigorous tests by branches of the US military for strength and durability. Our buildings are in use by many fire departments, police departments, commercial companies and municipalities. Private, commercial, and government agencies from California to Vermont, from the Appalachians to Alaska, and from Iraq to Poland have become satisfied customers of our building kits.
On the Boxed Eave Style Metal RV Cover, (A-Frame Type), the RV Cover comes with the Standard Horizontal Roof. The Roof Panels run parallel to the side of the Structure. Water will drain to the front or the back of the Structure. On this style you have the option of having the roof panels installed vertically for an additional charge. We recommend the Vertical Roof Style for the small difference in price versus the Horizontal Roof Style.
We do not allow you to pick up steel garages from our warehouse. However, we do offer the option of having steel garage buildings dropped off at your home so you can assemble them. We prefer to deliver and set up our garage structures, but if you’d like to assemble yours yourself, you can. Although you will save 5% on the purchase price when you assemble your own metal garage, installing the garage yourself does void our one-year workmanship warranty.

We usually start our 3 car garages out at 20’ wide and can go up to 30’ wide or more; however, the width will depend on the style of your vehicle and if you wish to have a side-entry. By parking along the length of the building you are saving money by not exceeding 30’ in width. Remember 32’ and beyond in width will bump you into our commercial clear-span garages. Modular: A modular building is a structure where the materials are designed and fabricated offsite and then transported to the project location where each part is assembled. Many businesses may choose this method as it allows a larger building to be built more quickly than a traditional building given the parts have already been cut and designed to the proper specs. For the same reasons, it is also an efficient way to build a home.
A motorhome carport can be turned into a garage easily by just adding walls and doors to the structure. Many of our customers who purchase an RV cover online prefer adding side panels to cover one side of the carport for protection from harsh elements. While an awning from the sides doesn’t fully enclose the carport like a metal garage, it does provide the space needed for maneuvering your RV.

The regular-style roof is rounded on the sides with a barn-like shape. This is the most economical option for a metal building roof. The leg height on the regular garage packages is 8 feet, but at the top of the bend on the leg, it is 1 foot taller. This gives you 9-foot legs with a 9x8 garage door. The boxed-eave and vertical metal building packages come standard with 9-foot legs fully enclosed with a 9x8 garage door. The metal buildings for sale that have a boxed-eave roof have an A-frame gable roof with a 6-inch overhang on both sides. The vertical style is also built with an A-frame roof and has a 6-inch overhang on both sides. All of our steel buildings for sale have a 6-inch overhang on the front and back ends. The sheeting on a vertical-style roof runs up and down, allowing the snow to slide off of the building so you won’t have to rake the roof. Also, there’s bracing attached under a vertical roof to secure the sheeting. This adds strength to the structure of a vertical garage. When you look at the boxed-eave and regular roofs, you’ll notice that the sheeting runs horizontally over the length of the roof.
This wood hardness list ranks 75 types of wood by their Janka rating. Explore our wood density chart to see which hardwood is the best for your next project! The Janka hardness scale measures the force that’s required to embed a steel ball halfway through a sample of wood. The ball is 0.444 inches in diameter and fired with increasing force. The pounds of force (or newtons if you’re using the metric system) needed to push the ball to the center is the Janka value you end up with. It’s a great way to measure how resistant a piece of wood is to denting and wear. Our Janka wood hardness chart shows how durable certain wood types are.
