You can also choose from three different roof styles for our steel-frame buildings. Most regular prefab steel barns have a barn-style roof, whereas boxed-eave buildings have an A-frame roof. Other structures have an A-frame roof with vertical paneling that allows the snow to slide off. Vertical paneling is a great option for steel garage buildings if you live in an area that gets a high amount of snowfall.
Yes, we have a wide variety of sizes available for both our steel and metal garages. They can be 12 feet, 18 feet, 20 feet, 22 feet, or 24 feet wide. The triple-steel garages are built in 26-foot, 28-foot, and 30-foot widths. We also have 40-foot-wide models, available in lengths of 32 feet, 34 feet, 36 feet, 38 feet, and 40 feet. The lean-to model comes in 36 feet, 42 feet, 44 feet, 46 feet, and 48 feet. It has 12 feet on both sides of the building. The lengths start at 21 feet and get longer in 5-foot increments: 26 feet, 31 feet, 36 feet, 41 feet, 46 feet, 51 feet, 56 feet, 61 feet, 66 feet, 71 feet, 76 feet, 81 feet, 86 feet, 91 feet, 96 feet, and 101 feet. To make them longer than 41 feet, we attach two of our steel garages end to end; they can be built longer than 101 feet. We recommend the vertical roof for any garage built 41 feet or longer.
Buying one of our steel buildings for sale means you’ll have easy access to stored items, and our prefab metal building kits can be used to hold many things. Some of our customers use them to store cars and ATVs, while others purchase them to house gardening tools, lawnmowers, bicycles, or sports equipment. Some people transform their storage building into a workshop where they can take on DIY projects. Alternatively, they may use it to tackle household repairs such as fixing a wobbly chair or a broken toaster. Our buildings can serve as a machine shop, horse barn, carport, garage, boat/RV cover, and more! And since they are easy to assemble from our steel building kits, getting them in place is a snap. We can even set it up for you for free.
Delivery of these structures usually occurs within 60 days of the order being received by the factory, and it’s often a lot sooner than that. If your carport or metal garage delivery takes more than 90 days, we offer a 10% discount on the balance due upon request. (However, installations/deliveries in DC, IN, MD, NJ, NY, OH, PA, and WV are likely to be delayed in the winter months, so we do not offer the 90-day guarantee in these areas from Oct. 1 through spring.)

If you’re not looking for a fully enclosed portable metal garage, then a metal carport may be the way to go. Metal carports may be left open or partially enclosed, and they are usually very basic in structure, so they’re usually less expensive than metal garages. Triple carports, metal barn lean-to buildings, and 40-foot steel garages are also available options.
We do not allow customers to pick up their metal buildings. However, we do drop off metal buildings at our customers’ homes. Those who make this arrangement with us must assemble their metal garage buildings themselves. We do not recommend this option to customers because we like to supervise the installation ourselves with our professional assembly team. But if you assemble your custom metal building, you’ll save 5% on the metal building installed prices that we quote you. Customers who install their own metal garage buildings are not entitled to the one-year workmanship warranty, however.
This wood hardness list ranks 75 types of wood by their Janka rating. Explore our wood density chart to see which hardwood is the best for your next project! The Janka hardness scale measures the force that’s required to embed a steel ball halfway through a sample of wood. The ball is 0.444 inches in diameter and fired with increasing force. The pounds of force (or newtons if you’re using the metric system) needed to push the ball to the center is the Janka value you end up with. It’s a great way to measure how resistant a piece of wood is to denting and wear. Our Janka wood hardness chart shows how durable certain wood types are.

Our metal garages have passed the most rigorous tests by branches of the US military for strength and durability. Our buildings are in use by many fire departments, police departments, commercial companies and municipalities. Private, commercial, and government agencies from California to Vermont, from the Appalachians to Alaska, and from Iraq to Poland have become satisfied customers of our building kits.

We have three options available for your RV cover, including our most popular option, the regular roof cover. This roof cover is ideal for areas where temperate climates and mild weather is the norm. For snowier or more wintry sections of the country, we recommend our other two types of roofs, since they are engineered to withstand more extreme conditions. The boxed eave roof has an A-frame design shelters and is made with stronger material that withstands more brutal weather than the regular roof type shelters. Our vertical roof shelters for our RVs has a vertical design that allows snow to dissipate quickly, which is recommended in areas where harsh weather is common. Work with us to determine which roof type best suits your needs.

Modular: A modular building is a structure where the materials are designed and fabricated offsite and then transported to the project location where each part is assembled. Many businesses may choose this method as it allows a larger building to be built more quickly than a traditional building given the parts have already been cut and designed to the proper specs. For the same reasons, it is also an efficient way to build a home.
