We have three options available for your RV cover, including our most popular option, the regular roof cover. This roof cover is ideal for areas where temperate climates and mild weather is the norm. For snowier or more wintry sections of the country, we recommend our other two types of roofs, since they are engineered to withstand more extreme conditions. The boxed eave roof has an A-frame design shelters and is made with stronger material that withstands more brutal weather than the regular roof type shelters. Our vertical roof shelters for our RVs has a vertical design that allows snow to dissipate quickly, which is recommended in areas where harsh weather is common. Work with us to determine which roof type best suits your needs.
We do not allow customers to pick up their metal buildings. However, we do drop off metal buildings at our customers’ homes. Those who make this arrangement with us must assemble their metal garage buildings themselves. We do not recommend this option to customers because we like to supervise the installation ourselves with our professional assembly team. But if you assemble your custom metal building, you’ll save 5% on the metal building installed prices that we quote you. Customers who install their own metal garage buildings are not entitled to the one-year workmanship warranty, however.
You can also choose from three different roof styles for our steel-frame buildings. Most regular prefab steel barns have a barn-style roof, whereas boxed-eave buildings have an A-frame roof. Other structures have an A-frame roof with vertical paneling that allows the snow to slide off. Vertical paneling is a great option for steel garage buildings if you live in an area that gets a high amount of snowfall.

On the Boxed Eave Style Metal RV Cover, (A-Frame Type), the RV Cover comes with the Standard Horizontal Roof. The Roof Panels run parallel to the side of the Structure. Water will drain to the front or the back of the Structure. On this style you have the option of having the roof panels installed vertically for an additional charge. We recommend the Vertical Roof Style for the small difference in price versus the Horizontal Roof Style.

A motorhome carport can be turned into a garage easily by just adding walls and doors to the structure. Many of our customers who purchase an RV cover online prefer adding side panels to cover one side of the carport for protection from harsh elements. While an awning from the sides doesn’t fully enclose the carport like a metal garage, it does provide the space needed for maneuvering your RV.

Metal garage doors can be placed on the end or on the gutter side like in this picture. Please keep in mind that if you order metal garage kits with the garage doors on the side, the leg height needs to be 2 feet taller than the height of the garage door; when you get the garage doors on the end, the leg height only needs to be 1 foot taller than the height of the garage doors. Also, steel garages come standard with 29-gauge metal siding going horizontal, but you have the option to upgrade to vertical sides and a vertical roof as shown in the picture.

Modular: A modular building is a structure where the materials are designed and fabricated offsite and then transported to the project location where each part is assembled. Many businesses may choose this method as it allows a larger building to be built more quickly than a traditional building given the parts have already been cut and designed to the proper specs. For the same reasons, it is also an efficient way to build a home.

The regular-style roof is rounded on the sides with a barn-like shape. This is the most economical option for a metal building roof. The leg height on the regular garage packages is 8 feet, but at the top of the bend on the leg, it is 1 foot taller. This gives you 9-foot legs with a 9x8 garage door. The boxed-eave and vertical metal building packages come standard with 9-foot legs fully enclosed with a 9x8 garage door. The metal buildings for sale that have a boxed-eave roof have an A-frame gable roof with a 6-inch overhang on both sides. The vertical style is also built with an A-frame roof and has a 6-inch overhang on both sides. All of our steel buildings for sale have a 6-inch overhang on the front and back ends. The sheeting on a vertical-style roof runs up and down, allowing the snow to slide off of the building so you won’t have to rake the roof. Also, there’s bracing attached under a vertical roof to secure the sheeting. This adds strength to the structure of a vertical garage. When you look at the boxed-eave and regular roofs, you’ll notice that the sheeting runs horizontally over the length of the roof.
