This metal hardness chart organizes different types of metal using the Mohs hardness scale, a metric used by scientists to determine the scratch resistance of different minerals. With diamond at the top of the scale at a score of 10, elements and alloys can fall along the metal hardness scale from 10 (the most scratch-resistant) to 1 (the softest). We’ve arranged common metals in order of hardness in our handy chart and in this list. Our list includes different kinds of metal from metallic elements like silver to common alloys like steel.
A motorhome carport can be turned into a garage easily by just adding walls and doors to the structure. Many of our customers who purchase an RV cover online prefer adding side panels to cover one side of the carport for protection from harsh elements. While an awning from the sides doesn’t fully enclose the carport like a metal garage, it does provide the space needed for maneuvering your RV.

We do not allow customers to pick up their metal buildings. However, we do drop off metal buildings at our customers’ homes. Those who make this arrangement with us must assemble their metal garage buildings themselves. We do not recommend this option to customers because we like to supervise the installation ourselves with our professional assembly team. But if you assemble your custom metal building, you’ll save 5% on the metal building installed prices that we quote you. Customers who install their own metal garage buildings are not entitled to the one-year workmanship warranty, however.
On the Boxed Eave Style Metal RV Cover, (A-Frame Type), the RV Cover comes with the Standard Horizontal Roof. The Roof Panels run parallel to the side of the Structure. Water will drain to the front or the back of the Structure. On this style you have the option of having the roof panels installed vertically for an additional charge. We recommend the Vertical Roof Style for the small difference in price versus the Horizontal Roof Style.
We offer standard sizes to save you time & money. They are priced 12' wide, 18' wide, 20' wide, 22' wide, & 24' wide, & in lengths they are priced 26' long, 31' long, 36'' long, & 41' long. We can build any custom size in between these sizes. Any custom size is priced the same as the next size up. I.e. a 14' 0" wide is priced the same as a 18' wide, a 34' long would be priced the same as a 36' long, etc..

You’ve invested a lot of money in your RV, so it only makes sense to pamper it like a baby by garaging it beneath a metal RV cover. An RV cover is similar to a carport and works on much the same premise – it covers your RV from the elements and protects it from the damage inflicted by full exposure to the harmful UV rays from the sun. We offer a range of different metal RV shelter for you – each of them customizable to give you the best option for your RV, ensuring your RV stays looking its best in between cross-country excursions.
There are three types of RV carports – regular roof, a-frame roof, and vertical roof. We provide you with the choice of roof style and wall panel style, all depending on your personal preferences. You are also given the options of a roof-only carport, a carport with panels or a fully-enclosed garage. Your customization options range from the regular style roof (good) to boxed-eave style roof (better) to vertical style (best) that doesn’t allow anything to settle on your paneling. Our RV carports can be built starting at 12′ wide going up to 60’ wide; however, you need to keep in mind that your RV carport cannot be built taller than the width.

Yes. We can make residential metal buildings in a custom size, but we charge the customer the price of the next larger standard size of metal buildings for sale. For example, let’s say you need a 17-foot-wide building and the standard widths are either 12 or 18 feet. We would charge you for an 18-foot-wide building in this case. This same rule applies to length. If you need the length to be 24 feet and the 26-foot-long model is too long, we can make the base 24 feet long, but it will be priced at 26 feet long. As you determine the size you want for your custom metal buildings, please remember that when we say 26 feet long, that includes a 6-inch overhang on the front and back ends, so the exact base is 25 feet long.

There are three roof styles we have for customers to choose from; regular, boxed-eave, and vertical. The regular roof style garage is A-shaped and has curved ends, its sheeting running lengthwise. The boxed-eave roof garage has sheeting that also runs lengthwise, but its V-shape is flat all the way down. The vertical roof garage is shaped the same way as the boxed-eave, but as the name implies, its sheeting runs vertically.
Choose Leg Height up to 14'. You should consider purchasing an Extended Gable End for the back of your RV Cover. It makes the RV Cover stronger & it comes down even to the 3 Ft. Side Panels to keep the Blowing Rain off the back of your RV. You can also Close One End and/or the Sides To The Ground, & More Below While Ordering. Select from 14 Color Choices for the Roof, Side Panel, & Trim Colors. We can also build Custom Configurations according to your Needs & Specifications, Including Specific Widths & Lengths.
The regular-style roof is rounded on the sides with a barn-like shape. This is the most economical option for a metal building roof. The leg height on the regular garage packages is 8 feet, but at the top of the bend on the leg, it is 1 foot taller. This gives you 9-foot legs with a 9x8 garage door. The boxed-eave and vertical metal building packages come standard with 9-foot legs fully enclosed with a 9x8 garage door. The metal buildings for sale that have a boxed-eave roof have an A-frame gable roof with a 6-inch overhang on both sides. The vertical style is also built with an A-frame roof and has a 6-inch overhang on both sides. All of our steel buildings for sale have a 6-inch overhang on the front and back ends. The sheeting on a vertical-style roof runs up and down, allowing the snow to slide off of the building so you won’t have to rake the roof. Also, there’s bracing attached under a vertical roof to secure the sheeting. This adds strength to the structure of a vertical garage. When you look at the boxed-eave and regular roofs, you’ll notice that the sheeting runs horizontally over the length of the roof.
